ExpiredDomains.net and DomCop are excellent at what they do, and what they do is measure a domain’s past life — who linked to it, what it ranked for, how much authority it carries. Neither offers a brandability score, because that is not the job they are for.

Use them instead of us when…

You want a domain’s link history

If the point is to inherit rankings, buy on Trust Flow and referring domains — and expect to bid at auction, because anything with real authority gets caught at deletion. We deliberately don’t compete there. What reaches our list is what the drop-catchers passed on.

You need a TLD that isn’t .com

We scan .com and nothing else. If you want .io, .co.uk or one of the other 675 extensions ExpiredDomains covers, they are the better tool and it isn’t close.

You already know exactly what you want

The one thing we do that they don’t

A textual scorer can tell you autopanal segments cleanly and scores 80. It takes a language model to notice the unfortunate substring, that entrustpilot sits too close to an existing brand, or that audiedhearingreads as “Died”. Every name we publish has been through that read, and carries the reason it passed. Nothing else on this page does that, because nothing else on this page is trying to.
